Badland looks at nose trimmers, Panasonic vs Tondeo

Sorry adgrunt ArtDirector, but I'm going to have to sit you in the Badland corner for a minute. Whether you've seen the Indonesian predecessor or not, you know the rule, Badland only collects good ideas, so being in it means you had one. Your fresh poster for nose trimmers that added the extra element of actual bush growing through the poster here, seems to have a lot in common with another nose trimmer brands ads in Indonesia.

Tondeo ad created by Publicis Germany

So that was pretty clever, but, it also reminds me of this campaign in Indonesia released back in 2009.

The Indonesian ad has an added idea to it, since it's electric wires that are strung through the posters and they are advertising a nose hair trimmer that has "safety" features. I like that. I also like that they chose to use an illustrator for the job, which made the absurd a little funnier. Having said all that, I think this was just a coincidence.
