In this ad we time travel. Babe Ruth's called shot was the home run hit by Babe Ruth of the New York Yankees in the fifth inning of Game 3 of the 1932 World Series, held on October 1, 1932, at Wrigley Field in Chicago. As you can see in this footage, during the at-bat, Ruth made a pointing gesture, but the exact meaning of his gesture remains ambiguous. Except Bud Light claims it's because Babe Ruth was pointing at the beer guy selling beer in the stands. Sure he was. Yet another ad takes the "Forrest Gump" approach of repurposing historical footage for a gag. Sometimes it works.
