Games of Thrones star Maisie Williams gets into her e-tron Sportback Audi, and sets out to drive in heavily trafficked Los Angeles, with all of the noise gridlocked traffic frustrations that entail. She gets stuck in a traffic jam immediately, where all the other cars have evil skulls on their smoking grills, and the nasty drivers are drinking soda from plastic cups with (gasp!) straws! Won't anyone think of the turtles? The radio starts Maise off by telling her it's "eight degrees above normal" today, so I suppose that's the environmental global warming trigger to start singing the hit song from Frozen which won an Oscar in 2014 and parents have been trying to make their young children stop singing ever since. So Maisie belts out "Let it go" as she speeds off, and everything and everyone, around her sing along. This part is actually a little entertaining.
Somehow this is supposed to tell us why the e-tron Sportback is the car of choice. Sure, there's a lot of pretty running footage which I am sure made the clients happy, but the "more sustainable future" line seems tacked on at best. Or as my bored emo teen pointed out "if you throw away your old car to get this car, you're still producing waste". Ouch, you can never please a teen.

This is simple fun. And great casting. Bet the track cost a bob or two.

PermalinkI'm sure the track did! Also, I suspect someone in the team has a crush on Maisie because the theatre banner seen as she approaches the car says "perfect girl"
