In this Apple commercial for iPhone 16 that touts its AI capability, an employee uses AI to take what would normally be an email written in his own voice, using slang and particular word choices, and turns it into something that AI wrote. Even the recipient of the email is confused.
Because "best regards" is an email signature not a way of talking.
The company that once prioritized doing human things with its technology is now encouraging people to use technology to sound less human.
This is quite the self-own, but not as bad as the "Crush" ad which had to be pulled for pissing off creators.
This is also quite the rebuke of the middle management class. Celebrating not doing your job but letting AI do it for you. This guy is six months away from being frog-marched out the door with a box of his belongings.
Client: Apple
I give him two weeks. Funny how Apple went from "think different" to "don't bother thinking at all".
