Even the President of the most powerful country in the world thinks Kanye is a jackass.

Not really ad-news my dear pals, but it is a PR disaster one of our esteemed colleagues in PR is likely to have to be saddled with cleaning up. (Don't get me started on a PR that should not be used as a fire-extinguisher rant, but that's what dumbarse celebs use them for.)

ABC News Terry Moran was tweeting notes from the interview with President Obama, suddenly POTUS called Kanye a "jackass", and this was sent out to the twitter account with a million followers, with a tsunami of retweets echoing it. This was a mistake, explains ABC - Politico dishes the full apology/explanation of what happened:

Although it wasn't long before Moran removed it, with over a million followers, the tweet quickly bounced around Twitter through various users.
Now, an ABC spokesperson explains to POLITICO what happened:
"In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again."

That's journalism-speak for: "Yeah POTUS totally called you a jackass Kanye, cuz, you are."

The winner in all this hoopla is of course Beyonce, who decided to give her speech away to Taylor Swift - winning her major points for classy making her R&B royalty.
