A taco shop found themselves burgled last week, with plenty of cctv footage of the event. Just like with Limonado Reserva Fashion Brand in Brazil and the bumbling burglar of Kent's Meats and Groceries, the owner decided to get creative and edited together an ad with the footage, claiming the burglars are there because they really, really want tacos. At nearly three minutes, they could have used some professional help in the execution, but there's nothing wrong with the creativity. The guy at the end even cries, their tacos are supposedly so good.
Greg Carlson, the general manager of the restaurant, was alerted by an alarm system when the burglary occurred. When he got to the scene, he saw that the glass door was smashed and two cash boxes were stolen. Fortunately, they were empty.
“I thought to myself: ‘We’re going to have some expenses from this. I might as well turn this into something that will inspire people to come try our food,'” he told CNN.
Very clever, Greg.
