Nike vs Gran parma rugby - someone has dropped the ball

A cute Badlander - seems a huge trend these past few years is to crush parked cars with giant objects, such as footballs, rugbyballs or giant blocks of ice. The latest one is this September installation from Gran parma Rugby Italy, the previous ones inside.

From the May 2004 article Football in Portugal, causes worldwide football fever, here's the Nike example.

Also, there's the giant block of ice from another Badlander post: "Stolen Jeans, the story of not stolen copy-concept".

I'm sure there are plenty more examples - can you recall any? Link them or post them in the comments!

Update: Swell! troymcclure just reminded me about the giant muffin in the comments. Boone Oakley, Obie award winner 2006.

Boone Oakley out of Charlotte, North Carolina did a billboard for the Bloom grocery store chain that had a car crushed by -- wait for it -- a "jumbo muffin." I'm not tech savvy enough to link to the image, but you will find it on their website (www.booneoakley.com). Not sure just when they did it, but it was a few years back.

The jumbo muffin crushing a car won the 2006 Obie award (pic in link), so it can't be that old. ;)
