Produced by Theirworld and Sonbola, an educational initiative working to produce education for Syrian refugee children in Bekaa, Lebanon, this is part of the #UpForSchool campaign. This film follows young teenaged brothers and aspiring rap trio Samir, Abdulrahman and Mohammed as they adjust to life in Lebanon, and try to forget the horrors the Syrian conflict has caused for kids and grownups alike.
The #UpForSchool campaign, warns that a lack of funds could leave one million vulnerable Syrian children, living as refugees in Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon, out of school and at risk of child labour, early marriage, exploitation and extremism.
This campaign has dropped ahead of a conference on Feb 4th where world leaders will meet to try to secure 750 million dollars (U.S.) to ensure one million displaced Syrian children in Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan can go to school.
