I built this website. From scratch. Including the servers.
I'm just quoting the Hollywood police website, where the Hollywood Police department says exactly that. (scroll down to beneath the booking photos). Who knows if a white collar criminal could prevent booking photos from being published left and right, when famous people can't - recall Hugh Grant, Bill Gates, Michael Jackson, James brown.. and I think I saw Nick Nolte in some ad for hairdressers... Yet nobody has been sued.
When there is no information hidden from non-registered users - like in the communities mentioned above - then what's the point? The only advantage a logged in user has is that they can comment. Participating in the community is the only thing a logged in user can do.
For places like blogspot.com, Flickr, blogshares bloggerforum... photobucket, del.icio.us, shutterfly, bloglines, Technorati, typekey it's just plain weird....
blogspot.com, Flickr, blogshares bloggerforum... etc and so on.
From the adcritic email sent out on Friday August 26, 2005 (yes that's a day later than caffs post):
Lending a smidgeon of truth to some rumblings that we heard in Cannes, British rock mag NME reports that White Stripes front man Jack White has been commissioned to write a jingle for Coca-Cola that would could be Generation Y's "I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke." In White's home town, the Detroit Free Press admits that the band's peppermint stripe attire would work well with the cola's world-famous brand, but also recalls White's fondness for misleading the media (the rocker publicly identifies White Stripes drummer Meg White as his sister, though the two are actually ex-spouses).
