Thanks Guy and Caffeinegoddess. This campaign is great, and after this interview I like it even more. Sound base, great idea, and another massive gold star from me (which counts double because I am in the target market, so nyah to all guys who hate this campaign. It's not for you.).
If it aint by the LAD directing team Lee and Dan (which it is) and aint got nothing to do with DDB (who has VW), then why is Brandrepublic hosting the same ad? Hmm? ;)
Someone (Bless the Intarweb man) has actually called Jenny.... Everywher. Jenny, Are You There?. Lots of gals (and at least one guy) named Jenny actually answered....

Via Brainstorm9 in Brazil I learned that this campaign got some medals as well, in Cannes 2003 and a Clio award 2004. :)
