He does have a point... As for those alphabet soup agencies that never let creatives come along on the pitch, sell your things to the AE. No rolling of eyes when they start 'putting the client-hat on' and question your ads from all angles - have answers! The only real way to sell great ads is to have an agency all pulling in the same direction - to sell the best work possible at all times.
Ads that are like installation art isn't completly new, actually there's been art installation ideas that later became ad campaign ideas - remember the Richard Piece vs Museum of contemporary art and Britart? - but this is admittidly, pretty darn neat. I love the surreal feel of the melted parking meter and that extra touch of hot generated by the smoke. Great attention to detail. It's cool. ;)

Bogusky. The site allows users to pit two guys in chicken suits -- representing different chicken sandwiches -- against each other in a cage match. Not funny, according to HSUS president and CEO Wayne Pacelle, who says in a statement, "Whatever the intent of this promotion, the effect
is to make light of chicken fighting. Cockfighting, which is illegal in 48 states, is a disgraceful practice not only involving animal cruelty, but drug trafficking, illegal gambling and human-on-human violence."
