A teenage girl lives with her mom, but her dad is a daily active co-parent who rolls up in the car to take her to school every day come rain or come shine. Each morning her phone pings with the familiar message "I'm here" to announce that dad is right outside. Here we are supposed to glean that Gigahome's Always Connected allows for seamless automatic network-switching from broadband to mobile, but the story is still focused on the teenage girl.
One day there's drama, her boyfriend dumped her and she's inconsolable. That's when her phone pings in that familiar way, and her dad says "I'm here." I'm not crying you're crying.
James Rouse at Biscuit Films directed. Pedro Rosa & Roberto Kilciauskas, group creative directors at Grey London, said: “Reliability can be a funny thing: the more reliable something or someone is, the more invisible it becomes. By shining a light on the importance of having a reliable connection in life and drawing a parallel with GigaHome, we created a relatable story and reinforced the brand’s credentials around bringing emotional human-led stories to its Irish audience.”
