I dunno about the less easily amused adgrunts, but I like it. The Detroit Convention and Visitors Bureau is using the upcoming Mensa convention to promote themselves with the tagline "Who’s the genius who picked Detroit?"
Apparently, they have no problem making a joke at their hometown's well-publicized problems, having used "Who in Heaven's Name Chose Detroit?" for the Church of God in Christ convention and "AA is Bringing 50,000 Members to Detroit: I Need a Double" for Alcoholics Anonymous — but it really comes together in this one.
Credit to Renee Monforton of the Bureau for writing it and to the client for being able to laugh at themselves. Though the less said about that layout, the better.
