When I watched the Uber One teaser and the Uber One Superbowl commercial, I thought the breakout star was Sean's right-hand man. Who is that guy? You could create an entire spin-off campaign with just him! So I asked Uber, who is that guy?
Uber responded: "Diddy's right hand man is Roy. Roy acts as a bodyguard for Diddy and he really added so much humor to the spot. Here you can see him in our blooper reel."
Roy says "Cool for camera. Cool for camera, that should be a logo, cool for camera" - yes, I agree Roy. The way you said that was cool for camera. Quick, someone trademark the phrase now!
Then I asked what is it that he is trying to say in Norwegian (I presume?) to the band Ylvis?
Uber responded: Correct, Norwegian as Yvlis is from Norway. You can see the full subtitled version on Uber's Instagram here where Roy is saying "Diddy says Next!"
Did Sean have any input on the musical selection? Did Sean have a hard time remaining so stone-faced during the shoot?
Uber explains: "Everyone was blown away by the caliber of talent that we had on-set, and it was very special hearing these incredible musicians sing their hit songs live."
I bet, would have loved to be a fly on the wall at that set. Or as a token quarter Norwegian in a fox suit.
If you are attending the Superbowl or in Phoenix, don't miss this. For the first time ever Uber is hosting a Super Bowl party in Phoenix on February 10 from 6-9pm to kick off the weekend.
The event, which is open to all Uber One members, will feature music by Paris Hilton with additional surprise performances, special cocktails, delicious bites from local Uber Eats restaurants, and more. Guests can see more info and register to attend here.
Cool for camera!
