L.A. CARES AIDS poster "Keep it clean" 1984, USA

Poltergeist actress Zelda Rubinstein is in the role of a caring mother who apparently can just walk into her son's bathroom while he's showering still, to remind him to "keep it clean". And maybe she washed him behind his ears too, who knows.

This campaign launched in Los Angeles in 1984 and later went national with some of the lines, like "Don't forget your rubbers" , "Play Safely", and "Don't play with strangers"
