PETA's latest shock campaign by the group "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals", has stirred controversy with its message that "Santa will not be coming this Christmas". The billboard is located in the 5,000 block of east Trent, Spokane, and since the billboard went up a couple of days ago, some observant people have been calling to complain.
According to PETA, Santa's alleged impotence problem is attributed to years of consuming milk left out on Christmas Eve, as they claim that the fat in milk can lead to impotence. Their suggested alternative is soy milk.
The provocative nature of the campaign has led some people to express concerns about the potential negative impact it may have, particularly on young audiences exposed to the Santa billboard.
KHQ Local News reached out to the Washington Dairy Commission for their response, and they vehemently refuted PETA's claims, labeling them as groundless and absurd. They stressed that there is no evidence linking male impotence to dairy or milk consumption, accusing PETA of concocting their arguments.
Despite receiving complaints, the billboard company intends to maintain the display as it is.
