Via Brainstorm9 in Brazil I learned that this campaign got some medals as well, in Cannes 2003 and a Clio award 2004. :)
Propaganda in Norway reports that Verdens Gang and Dagbladet.no that published the image have not received a C&D from PepsiCo. Verdens Gang net editor in cheif Torry Pedersen said:
This was a promo image sent to us from Pepsi that they really wanted us to use, I think we got three mails about this ad with theimage, and when we finally did write about it, they asked us not to use the image. If we get a C&D we'll consider what to do then.
Funny cat! Sounds like this screen-cleaner will make you laugh:
Kitty the screen Cleaner. ;))
It is not likely that the poodle haired Creative Director a.k.a hotshot for the past ten years is going to get fired over the French Connection United Kingdom acronym. ;)
Read more about him at BBC Trevor Beattie's seemingly dyslexic advertising campaign for French Connection UK helped to sell more than half a million T-shirts at
Yeah the other night, after succefully ejecting that annoying meow mix tune out of my brain I couldn't sleep, because all I could hear in my head was the old double your pleasure double your fun doublemint jingle. The stickest ones though were the 1980s big Red "So kiss a little longer.. something a little longer.. Longer with BIG RED" and the european Extra "last an extra extra EXTRA long time". ARGH!!!
Related chatter: RIP commercial jingles. Looks like the era of "I'd like to teach the world to sing" and "Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer weiner" is going away, thanks to the use of pop and rock songs. at Metafilter...
all I have to add is:
Meow, meow, meow, meow,
meow, meow, meow, meow,
meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow... Everybody sing along!
