Metafilter has now found the Elite Designers - usually 'ads' don't stay all too long without getting booed at, and there is some boo-ing in the thread but all in all, they seem to be pretty amused by it.
According to security company F-Secure, one of the Web sites the company targeted in its zombie army attack--www.mortgage.info--redirected traffic back to www.makelovenotspam.com. This means that Lycos Europe could have unintentionally affected its own Web site
I spoke to Mr Sjönell the other day about this toy, he even tipped me off to that moronic move by mortage.info. It's not like they hadn't thought of that before they put the finishing touches on their screensaver. So no, that "trick" did not work. Also their website wasn'st DDosed offline, but they did have to move it from one server to another due to a lot of people wanting to download the screensaver. Being popular is hardly an attack.
Believe the horses mouth or news.com as you wish. I know what horse I'm betting on to tell it like it is.
agree with deep.ed and blabla about Lowculture being ironic (though It seems, not everyone who commented there are..).. I mean c'mon, I hate Ms Zeta-Jones-Douglas as much as anyone but this can't be serious. ;)
Please, we urge you once again to boycott Catherine Zeta Jones, despite her endorsement of T-Mobile. Boycott her because she married that slimy Michael Douglas! This outrage must be stopped!
