Dove shows model from arrival, to shoot, to poster

The next step in Dove's campaign for real beauty shows the evolution from when a model arrives, gets makeup and hair, does the shoot and eventually gets mangled into some long-necked manga eyed supervixen in photoshop before the ad poster is done.

It's reminiscent of Flicka's interactive campaign which let you explore the before and after photoshop - except this idea was in film format.

Nicely done.

Sure, you think it's redundant, but while we know how the pictures are made there are people out there who think that Kirsten Dunst has perfect teeth and doesn't look like a hobbit. All in the name of educating these poor naive fools.

Dove's campaign for real beauty has always been interesting, particularly if you're one of the poor souls that has to churn out the other stuff. But have Dove done enough to convince people that they really want to change perceptions about beauty? So far it strikes me as quite shallow. The agency's work is great but I get the feeling Dove aren't as committed.
