Federation for American Immigration Reform just joined in the political ad pile on US television with this 'anti H-1 Visa abuse' ad. In it a former Disney worker, Leo Perrero, recounts his experience when he and many others were laid off from Disney, while asked to train their non-citizen replacement, or they'd lose their bonuses and 90 day severance package.
“The Disney executive broke the news to us, we were shocked and surprised that we were told our jobs were ending in 90 days,” he said. “We would be laid off in 90 days and not only that, we would have to train foreign replacements that were just brought into our country on foreign guest worker programs.”
The $1 million ad campaign launched in the state of Florida, includes radio, television and significant on-line media and the website Fair chance at jobs. FAIR is also advertising other ads on talk radio and in other states.
