This Westworld promo aired in quarter three.
So, you know how HBO, which is owned by Time Warner, recently made a comeback to the Super Bowl for the first time in over 20 years? It was to promote the second season of their show "Westworld," which is a mix of sci-fi and Western genres.
During the third quarter of the game, they aired a 30-second spot, but they released this extended version of it online.
They used an instrumental cover of Kanye West's "Runaway" in the ad and also created a fake website for the show's fictional company, Delos. But wait, there is more: apparently, the ad had a secret message that led people to a website. The blocks above the bulls in the ad can be converted to binary code, which can then be translated to an IP address. This IP address leads to the website delosdestinations.com.
Client: HBO
Director: Jonathan Nolan, who created the show with Lisa Joy.
