Outside a home depot in Atlanta -- home depot's headquarters -- Lowe's erected a temporary billboard, advertising their better deal for professionals, aka "pros".
Sassy!
Basically poaching Home Depot's most loyal clients, right in their own parking lot. Lord, I hope Home Depot responds with another billboard, it's been a while since we saw a good billboard war.
The billboard read as a letter to professionals, plumbers, contractors, painters all pros - big or small. It was erected with a crane because there are no permanent advertising billboards that overlook Home Depot parking lots. Talk about very targeted OOH. I love that.
"Loyalty programs don't always care about your business.
That's why we built a partnership instead.
One with more rewards.
And chances to win prizes you can actually use."
"For Plumbers. Electricians. Painters. For all pros, big and small. You're an MVP here. So be big with us. Sign up and take your business to the next level."
The ad was created by Deutsch LA.

Ballsy! Did they build the billboard out of products available at Lowe's for extra points?
