Slate Bad Ad Music Round-up

Slate asks: What's the worst ad song ever? Lust For Life, a song about shooting smack being used for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines? How about Fortunate Son, an anti-establishment song, used for a patriotic Wrangler Jeans ad?

Wait, but maybe it's some of the ads Slate's reported on before? Like using Sixteen Tons, a song about the horror and futility of coal mining, to promote GE's new coal advocacy with a bunch of super sexy coal miners? (Black lung, anyone?) Or maybe Jewel licensing her own anti-commercialism song to sell razors?

You can watch "Model miners" here on Adland.
