It's a huge disappointment to me. Not everyone liked the raw looking Wrangler we are humans / we are animals campaign, but it did break the mold and went on to win the 2009 Grand Prix in outdoor, while I snagged an interview with Fred here.
Honestly at every single one of these articles we have a "blaming piracy is missing the point" comment, so canned and so predictable it seems like astroturfed spam, which I am starting to believe it really is.
Latching on to the 6 artists (that's what half a dozen means) who might make $10 on an album is retarded when there's more then a dozen middle-class people, such as sound engineers, designers and studio musicians who are sharing in that income on that album.
But they can sell more T-shirts! As if t-shirt designs aren't pirated too, and hey, as if if producing t-shirts is free.
Feels good, Sport, but my drawer full of I-told-you-so's don't pay the rent. Next up: killing off those tremendously annoying YOUTUBE EMBED ads that play randomly somewhere on a page where you're actually already there to watch a news clip or something.
Please lets kill that, it's the worst.
I worked on a Southern Comfort brief my first year in advertising (think age 22), and thought I should "research" the product. I researched a little too hard, and I can't even look at the bottle anymore.
The only thing I see here as a good thing is the use of the Taiwanese animation company. An idea I'm sure was "inspired" by "research".
