Beantown Campaign Half-Baked?

Weekly Dig's Colin Kingsbury ain't too impressed with the "Celebrate Boston '04" campaign going on in anticipation of the upcoming Democratic Democratic Convention.

Hoping to gain a deeper understanding of the philosophy behind these ads, I visited the site of the design firm, Beantown advertising super agency Arnold Worldwide. Their homepage reads, “We find the true strength of a brand and its best target audience, and we tell a story that makes that brand meaningful in people's lives.” Well, they do tell a story, that much is for sure. If you go to Nebraska, you'll find plenty of cattle; and if you go to an ad agency, you'll probably find a lot of bullshit.
